The 15th edition of Pravasi Bhartiya Divas was held in Varanasi in Uttar Pradesh. The 3 day event was organised in Varanasi for the first time. The theme this year is, ‘Role of Indian Diaspora in building New India’. The government of Uttar Pradesh has approved the construction of the Ganga Expressway. The government has said that it would be the longest expressway in the world connecting Prayagraj to Western Pradesh. This 600km Ganga Expressway would be constructed at an approximate cost of Rs 36,000 crores over 6,556 hectares of land.
